Our quiet walks are back again.....is Autumn approaching..

All quiet now the Tiddlywinks have gone home. Doing our morning walks somehow doesn't seem the same...although we do tend to see more wildlife...maybe they don't feel terrified or frightened now the Famous Four are not around.. :-)  Today we managed to see a Doe with 2 Fawns, a lovely sight to see and one I never tire of. Now Autumn may be approaching we most probably will start seeing a lot more of them. A Woodpecker was making itself known as we walked around but couldn't see it.

Doe with her 2 Fawns..

Maisie leading the way..

Chestnuts are thriving..

Looks like Autumn is on it's way..

Corn has just about all been cut and stacked, some round stacks, which seems to be the way they are being stored,  and the ones I like are the oblong stacks, they remind me of my youth.

Sunflowers (Tournesol in France) are looking sorry for themselves now, heads beginning to droop, and will now slowly start going black, ready to harvest the seeds, with a little help from the birds.

We are fortunate to witness some beautiful sunsets..

...and this week we saw an amazing Full Moon..

  1. I fear it is on its way here, too. But oh, I hope summer hangs on a wee bit longer!
